Cost-Driven Pricing: An Innovative Approach for Managing Supply Chain Costs

چکیده
An analysis of how to improve costs must include a discussion of how firms create and manage cross-organizational relationships. An important part of improved cost competitiveness may very well center on a firm’s ability to develop and manage inter-firm relationships that lead to the creation of new value within the supply chain. An earlier study by the Harvard Business School confirmed that a primary reason for the competitiveness of many non-U.S. firms resulted from a greater commitment in intangible investments such as supplier relationships. Executive managers must begin to endorse a non-traditional perspective toward those suppliers that affect a firm’s competitive position. While progressive firms are able to capture the value offered by their critical suppliers, others are failing to respond.

Benders decomposition for Supply Chain Network Redesign with Capacity planning and Multi-Period Pricing
Managing income is a considerable dimension in supply chain management in current economic atmosphere. Real world situation makes it inevitable not to design or redesign supply chain. Redesign will take place as costs increase or new services for customers’ new demands should be provided. Pricing is an important fragment of Supply chain due to two reasons: first, represents revenue based ...
متن کاملPricing in a two-echelon supply chain with different market powers: game theory approaches
In this research, the optimal pricing decisions for two complementary products in a two-echelon supply chain under two scenarios are studied. The proposed supply chain in each echelon includes one retailer and two manufacturers and the same complementary products are produced. In the first scenario, we assume the unit manufacturing costs of the complementary products in each echelon are the sam...
متن کاملCompetitive Pricing in a Supply Chain Using a Game Theoretic Approach
We develop a price competition model for a new supply chain that competes in a market comprised of some rival supply chains. The new supply chain has one risk-neutral manufacturer and one risk-averse retailer in which the manufacturer is a leader and retailer is a follower. The manufacturer pays a fraction of the risk cost (caused by demand uncertainty) to the retailer. We apply this competitiv...

Nowadays, Economic systems play an important role in environment's field. Along with the rapid change in global manufacturing scenario, environmental and social issues are becoming more important in managing any business. Increasing pressures and challenges to improve economic and environmental performance have been caused developing countries in generally in particular to consider and to start...
متن کاملA new mathematical model for the closed-loop supply chains considering pricing for product, a fleet of heterogeneous vehicles, and inventory costs
Mathematical models have been used in many areas of supply chain management. In this paper, we present a mixed-integer non-linear programing (MINLP) model to solve a multi-period, closed-loop supply chains (CLSCs) with two echelons consist of producers and customers. In order to satisfy the demands, the producers are be able to order for materials in the beginning of each period for one or more...
